2012 is a season to reckon with in the fashion industry. New things are being launched every single day, in that nobody will be short of anything. In fact, I always liken fashion to wine, both get better with age! In very few months, summer time will be here with us, and the good news is that the must haves are already out and in the market just waiting to be bought. The big names in the fashion industry like Chanel, Gucci and Fendi have show cased what we needed to see in order for us to be in sync with the latest summer fashion trends. Summer collection is giving us trendy and colored handbags. This stylish and functional accessory will always stay as one of the most wanted items that people need to have for their everyday living. For this season, designers have let their imaginations go wild, so we are told to choose a handbag in a pop colour; like purple, yellow, green or blue. Fortunately, the season favours lots of colours, so don’t shy away from carrying your deep blue bag just because you are in a yellow outfit; just carry it, it will match with almost everything. The bigger the better as we have seen from the collection of Victoria Beckham.Chunky jewellery has made another full circle and is with us yet again. This time round, we have seen designers show casing new sets of designs in the bangle department. Where last season it was all about big and colourful plastic bangles, this season we are seeing more of gold and silver bangles coming in a set of five to eight in different sizes starting from thin to wide bangles.Anklets have also made a big come back, this time round we are seeing anklets made of stones, wooden and metal. Anklets look very trendy and are usually designed in such a way that gives your feet that extra attention. Your feet can be made very trendy by intricate designer anklets. I have seen young girls embracing anklets made of beads for the season; they are very delicate and are available in various colours to beautify your leg. Bead design is very sleek and you can just wear one anklet and set a new fashion trend. Anklets can be worn on casuals or on any other outfit for that matter- for as long as one feels comfortable in them. My favorite accessory for any season is the shoe. Shoes always make a full circle each year, but with a better version than the previous ones. In all the shoe trends starting from the stripped Laboutins, flowerd wedges to tribal print sandals, there are new versions to choose from, so get going in your shoe department before you are left behind.This season the famous fashion designer Thakoon has created very unique colours for the Nars nail polish. The nail polish comes in hot pink and ice cream pink, luminous yellow and dark yellow, purple and ice cream ivory; all these are colours that hardly featured in the nail polish department before, but with the new entry of colour blocking, anything is possible.Summer season is not very far from now, the early you start looking for your latest accessories the better.
