Dear editor, The introduction of development fund (CDF) was timely, as it essentially set up to uplift the national economic status, following the hard times the country had experienced. The fund has a financial capacity of about six billion francs, depending on the financiers, and as it works in conjunction with RALGA and the ministry of local government, community development and social affairs (MINALOC). The public should know that Community development fund, and people should know that the fund is there for them; people should therefore be contacting CDF for more information. CDF represents all Districts and the Kigali City; this implies that all districts’ should be approaching people on the grassroots level so that the people can know more about CDF; its importance and procedural approach of the fund. The sitting chairman has a two year’s mandate which provides a better system of managing finance. It is therefore imperative that all parties concerned carry on the exercise of mass mobilization and the importance of the same. Kacyiru
