Editor,Allow me to respond to a story involving a conman, who was arrested posing as a policeman on Tuesday, April, 19. He should be disciplined. The ‘policeman’ a resident of Remera, Kigali City, is alleged to have posed as an officer working with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and fleeced over Rwf397, 000 from a resident identified as Meddy Kitanywa. The long arm of the law should catch and punish such culprits for tarnishing the otherwise good image of the Rwanda National Police (RNP). No genuine officer will take any bribe for helping out a citizen. Kitanywa could have smelt a rat before even dealing with him.SethKigali
