Cell phones and school do not mix

The holiday is over and that means it is time to get serious. For those in boarding school, it cannot be easy because you will definitely miss your parents, siblings, friends and even your pets - if you have any.But, a big number of students are going to miss their cell phones the most! Some will go to great lengths to smuggle them into school.You might think you can handle a cell phone and studies at the same time but you are wrong. There are so many ways a cell phone can affect both your health and studies. Your performance in class will decline and your health will be at risk too because you will spend all day in class and then all night on the phone! Let us try to remember just how important adequate sleep is.Many teenagers would rather spend time on their phones than engage in sports or exercise and this has negative consequences.Other than the fact that they distract you from what you should really be doing studying, cell phones are also expensive. Even what some may call a cheap phone, isn’t exactly cheap. You will probably have to bribe someone to sneak it in for you. Do not forget you will also need airtime and that means compensating the person who sends it to you. ‘Free’ ringtones are a frequent lure and many kids sign up for them without actually knowing that there is a monthly fee that comes with them! Think about all the time you will waste with that phone. You have all holiday to make calls for as long as you want. When it is time for school, a student who is serious about their education will leave the phone at home. The disadvantages are numerous. Smart students listen to their parents and teachers when they insist that phones be left at home. It is for your own good.
