Editor,The government’s commitment to good governance and zero tolerance to corruption has helped the country develop so fast.Corruption is a cancer for every society, and if not fought collectively, it can destroy the entire society.African countries cannot achieve real transformation unless they genuinely fight corruption. It is important to note that corruption perpetuates poverty and constitutes one of the key obstacles to development. It’s self evident that corruption only makes the poor even poorer by denying them their rightful access to national resources. It puts public services beyond the reach of those who cannot afford to pay bribes.I urge African governments to fight corruption as a matter of urgency.Reuben ButeeraNyamata
