Tanzanians can cut down their electricity spending if they are to replace the uneconomic light bulbs with modern lamps, known as energy savers, it has been learned. The Hatch -- consultancy services on energy rationalisation and demand response in Tanzania report for 2010 shows that assessed the Household Lighting Programme in Tanzania, noted that selection of energy saving lighting devices could help the country realize energy efficiency. Hatch company experts and consultants in their report found that the entire life span of the recommended lamps, which is 9 years, would save about 343,400 megawatt per hour countrywide.
