children bring joy to parents

Akayesu Mary grew up with her mother who was often sad because of the loss of her husband. He passed away when Mary was nine years old. Her mother was always sad and depressed so naturally Mary started feeling sad too. But she looked for a way to help her mother through the tribulation. Showing her mother all the love she carried for her inside was important. Mary was always there to comfort her when she needed it. She sat besides her mother’s bed at night and told her some nice stories which always made her smile.She helped her mum with some of the house work so that she didn’t feel the extra burden. She gave her mum all the support she could. Mary always prayed for her mother so she could overcome her sadness and be happy just like she was before. She even told her Sunday school teachers about her mum’s situation and her teachers joined hands to pray for her mum too.She encouraged her mum to take walks and get fresh air. She made sure she was with her during these walks. Her efforts did not go to waste as her mother started smiling again getting back to her old self. As children, there is always something you can do to make your parents feel loved and happy in the moments when they are down and sad. Just remember that these are the times they need you the most and therefore you have to be there to help them. Your support is all they need.
