Editor, We want to make reference to the article published in The New Times, April 3, under the headline, “Subscribers win as local telecom wars loom.”This was quite an interesting insight of Rwanda’s telecom industry; more especially days after the market welcomed a new player in the industry. While the article was a good read, MTN Rwanda would like to correct a factual error made in the thirteenth paragraph that reads, “…. company (Airtel) has also promised to initially offer 250 jobs, with hopes of raising this to 500 in the next few months, surpassing MTN’s 173, which has the largest employee base in the local telecom sector. “Please note that the correct figure of the number of staff employed by MTN Rwanda is 300. It’s therefore not 173, as stated in the article.Kezio-Musoke DavidPR MTN Rwanda keziom@mtn.co.rw
