Police extend lead with win

Jimmy Mbaraga scored AS Kigali’s goal.If Goran Kuponovic’s side win their remaining matches against Isonga, Espoir, Marines and Mukura, then they will become the 4th club after APR, Rayon and now defunct Atraco to win the league.The loss for AS Kigali means that the Kigali-city owned club remains on eleventh position with 18 points.Meanwhile, on Sunday Rayon Sports host Nyanza at Amahoro stadium and coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira is aware that nothing but a win will keep his side in the title race.The blues who haven’t won silverware for 7 years are 13 points adrift of Police albeit with three games in hand.Elsewhere, La Jeunesse hosts Etincelles at Mumena with Amagaju travelling to Rubavu for a date against Marines at Rubavu stadium.Isonga will hope to gain more points against relegation battling side Espoir at Kicukiro stadium. Espoir lie in the relegation zone with six points.
