SENEGALESE LEGENDARY MUSICIAN Yousou N'Dour is expected to headline the 'Kwita Izina Gala Night' that will take place on September 4, at Intare Conference Arena. Other Rwandan popular artists including Masamba Intore, Mike Kayihura and Joel Ruti will also perform at the annual event that last took place in 2019, due to COVID-19. Youssou N'Dour who is known to his famous song 'Sama Yaye', was also announced among baby gorilla namers during this year's 'Kwita Izina Ceremony' in Kinigi, Musanze District on September 2, 2022. Bruce Intore, the concert organiser told The New Times that the musician was initially invited to be among the gorilla namers during Friday’s Kwita Izina ceremony and later agreed to perform for Rwandans as well. “We are aware that people, especially adults, love N’Dour’s legendary music.
