Editor, I would like to remind every Rwandan that it is our job to support government’s efforts to prevent a potential population explosion. As we progress, we might need to understand that producing children we can’t feed is not only unfair to the kids themselves but also to the country which carries the burden of looking after them once we fail in our responsibilities as parents. It’s an open secret that most parents are struggling to provide their kids with the basics of life. Obviously, there is no one who wants to see their children suffer, go hungry, miss school or fail to access medical care.It is, therefore, everyone’s responsibility to realise that it is high time we stopped producing children we cannot cater for. If we can all embraced the advice of bearing a maximum of three children, it would make our life easy as a country – Rwandans would easily access such basic needs as balanced diet, education, healthcare, et cetera.Once again, let everyone endeavor to produce children they are able to look after; that way we will eliminate child suffering in our country.Wilberforce NtagungiraKanombe
