Wednesday Al Ahly Vs Ferroviário da Beira 6pm (Kigali-Time) The race for the 2023 BAL playoffs in the Nile Conference begins Wednesday, April 26, when Egyptian basketball giants Al Ahly take on Mozambique’s Clube Ferroviário da Beira in the only game of the day taking place at Hassan Mostafa Indoor Sports Complex in Cairo. Home side Al Ahly, Ferroviário da Beira (Mozambique), Cape Town Tigers (South Africa), City Oilers (Uganda), Petro de Luanda (Angola) and Guinea’s Seydou Legacy Athletique Club (SLAC) will be fighting for four remaining slots for the BAL playoffs during the mouthwatering 10-day regular season which runs through Saturday, May 6. On April 27, SLAC will face Cape Town Tigers while City Oilers we’ll go up against Petro de Luanda. The Angolan champions finished third in 2021 before claiming second place last year after losing to US Monastir in the final. Among the six head coaches in the current Nile Conference, Al Ahly’s Agusti Julbe is the only BAL champion. The Spaniard led Zamalek to the BAL title thanks to a 6-0 mark in 2021, a success that makes him the only coach without defeat in the history of the BAL.
