Build-up match March 21Uganda vs RwandaApril 20-22Namibia vs RwandaTHE Rwanda U-20 team, Junior Wasps will play against their Ugandan counterparts, the Hippos in an internationally friendly in Kampala on March 21.The Junior Wasps tactician Richard Tardy said yesterday, “We have requested the federation to help us play the second leg against Uganda in preparation for the continental qualifiers.”“The game will be played in Kampala next Wednesday. Our aim is to prepare the national team before we travel to Namibia for the qualifiers,” added Tardy.The two sides settled for a 1-all draw in Kigali on February 28 and will now meet in Kampala for the ‘return leg’ of their international friendly. Both nations are preparing for the CAF Africa U20 Championship due in April. Uganda plays Mozambique on the weekend of April 20-22 while Rwanda travels to Namibia on the same date.Uganda Hippos have introduced new faces in the team which played against Rwanda last month and they are set to begin training tomorrow at Wankulukuku stadium. They include Kigonya Matia (Misindye), Jjuuko Maurishid , Bukenya Deus, Wadada Nicholas (Bunamwaya) and Bagole Kasule David (BiDCO).Tardy will name the travelling squad this weekend after the Primus National Football league fixtures over the weekend. Should the Junior wasps manoeuvre their way past Namibia, the task ahead looks even tougher as they face a potential second round clash with West African soccer giants, Mali in July. Incidentally, Rwanda senior team, Amavubi will play Mali in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers mid this year.
