The Basketball Africa League (BAL) on Tuesday, April 25, announced schedule adjustment for the 2023 BAL playoffs and finals that will take place at BK Arena. The playoffs and finals were initially scheduled to tip off on Sunday, May 21 and run through Saturday, May 27, will now tip off on Saturday, May 20 . The scheduling changes were, according to BAL, made so that all four quarterfinal games can be played over the weekend. ALSO READ: BAL 2023: A sneak peek into teams competing in Nile Conference The Nile conference group phase will tip off on Wednesday, April 26 to May 6, at Hassan Mostafa Indoor Sports Complex in Cairo, Egypt It will bring together Egypt’s Al Ahly, Cape Town Tigers (South Africa), BAL 2022 runners-up Petro de Luanda (Angola), City Oilers (Uganda), Ferroviário da Beira (Mozambique) and Seydou Legacy Athlétique Club (Guinea). The top four teams from the conference will join Rwanda Energy Group (REG), AS Douanes from Senegal, ABC Fighters from Cote d’Ivoire, and Stade Malien from Mali, who qualified through the Sahara Conference, in the BAL playoffs, which will feature a single-elimination tournament and Finals at BK Arena.
