Former showbiz journalist and socialite Ally Soudy has partnered with RG-Consult Inc, the leading event’s organisers in Rwanda, to start a live TV show dubbed “Ally Soudy & Friends Live Show” slated for August 5, at Camp Kigali. The show, according to Ally Soudy, aims to contribute to the growth of Rwandan music and showbiz, help rising talents shine, as well as create a platform that facilitates the public to have different conversations with successful acts in the industry. “Looking back at my journey in Rwanda's entertainment industry, I can say that I made my contribution in the past 15 years but I am compelled to do more. This idea came about when I thought of a way I can meet everyone in this industry that has walked with me right from the beginning in celebration of how far we have come but also give support to the other rising talents that may need our collective efforts,” Ally Soudi, one of the organisers of the show, told The New Times. Ally Soudy further noted that given how Rwanda encourages everyone to make their contribution in the development of the country, and entertainment being his passion, he came up with this new and unique live TV show to benefit masses especially players in the entertainment industry. The event, he also said, will be taking place every year, and will bring together many public figures from different sectors including sports, music, fashion, politics, comedians, actors, and other unpopular ones like live gymnastics, acrobats, magicians and many more. The CEO of RG Consult Inc, the firm handling the event, Remmy Lubega, said that it is a big deal to be part of such a unique initiative venturing in the Rwandan entertainment market. “When Ally Soudy approached us, we did not hesitate because we’ve seen his remarkable contribution to the industry and as RG, we are driven by the fact that we would love to see Rwanda’s entertainment industry be recognised worldwide, so any initiative whose goals is the same, we are happy to partner. All we can promise is to give you not only a good and professional event but an experience like you’ve never had before,” Lubega noted. The first edition of the TV show debuts on August 5, at Camp Kigali.
