Editor,I understand the call by the students of Kigali Independent University (ULK) that the administration drops the practice of presenting and defending dissertations before a panel (‘defence’).I do not agree with ULK administration that presentation of dissertations adds value to students’ knowledge. Instead, students waste valuable time and resources during ‘defence’. CharlesKigali
