RICARDO Carvalho is considering the possibility of leaving Real Madrid at the end of the season. The former Portugal international has struggled for fitness and form this term, making just 11 competitive appearances since the start of the season.Madrid coach Jose Mourinho claimed in October that the club had exercised their option to extend Carvalho’s by one year until 2013, but no official announcement has been made on this matter. It is now reported that Madrid and Carvalho are still some distance apart over a new deal, with the club holding firm over their one-year extension offer, while the player is seeking a new contract until 2014.In case Carvalho is unable to land a two-year contract, the 33-year-old will reportedly leave the club in the summer.Meanwhile, the Spanish paper claims that Anzhi Makhachkala tried to land Carvalho before signing Chris Samba from Blackburn Rovers. The ambitious Russian club offered the Portuguese defender a two-year deal, but Mourinho blocked the transfer, as he still holds the former Chelsea and Porto player in high regard.
