EditorIt’s that time of the year when it pours heavily, sometimes catching us off guard. I was watching news recently and saw some parts of Kigali flooded after just a few hours of what looked an average downpour.I, therefore, call on the public to be vigilant lest they bear the brunt of the rainy season. Let all focus on clearing our clogged trenches and drainage systems to avoid flooding that might affect our property and potentially lives, too. It is not only the job of government to put in place drainage systems but, individually, if we all ensured that our homesteads have proper water flow systems which pour into the main drainage troughs, we wouldn’t have such incidents.Let us all focus on dealing with the problem of flooding especially in low-lying areas.
