Personal Finance:Why you need to get self-employed

Does your boss over work, exploit or abuse you in any way, then pay you a slave-wage after? If there is possibility, quit and start your own business or any other form of self employment.For those who haven’t gathered enough capital to venture into self employment, endure the abuse till you accumulate it. Otherwise, if you don’t take a bold step, you will continue playing the role of a slave the rest of your life.I know it’s very difficult to start a business of your own or any other form of self-employment, but nothing is worse than being overworked then get paid insults and psychological torture. So quitting to start a private venture, whenever possible, is the best available option. I am not saying you become disobedient or disrespectful to your boss; defiance has never been an option in any situation, exercise humility and politeness - however bad he may be. When the time comes, hand in your resignation letter respectfully.Aware that your future and welfare wholly depend on him ,your boss will always do whatever he wants to you, because he knows you have nowhere to turn; he will give you extra tasks, deny you holidays, insult you, then after, give you a slim salary ,if not delay or not give it you at all.The size of the salary you get will depend on his mood; he can cut or increase it any time, and you have no right to question his decisions, lest you get sacked. He will continue using you to achieve his selfish interests - as he gets richer, you will drown more in poverty, yet you work hardest.He will give you loads of work, and then give you tough deadlines; failing to beat them will earn you a pay-cut or dismissal. And so you will live a life of stress, anxiety and misery. Working for another person kills one’s creativity and innovation because they are not given chance to do what they like because one does as the boss dictates. This keeps them bored and dissatisfied with their job. Only your boss gets praised or recognized when your company or organization gets commended for good performance or service. Your contribution and that of other members is not recognized, yet you work-hardest. Don’t you think that this is an insult to your conscience or the energy you put in? That is why I suggest that you quit and start a life of self reliance.Self employment does not only save one from abuse, but also vulnerability, for example, if you are a lady, there will be no scenarios like: your boss asking for sexual favours as condition to increase your pay.Self-employment is not only more rewarding financially, but also increases your self-confidence; you begin to feel good about yourself. One also gains more respect in society.Self-employment gives one motivation to work harder, knowing that the survival of the business wholly depends on them and that they will enjoy the gains single-handedly. It also gives one chance to retire during old age, unlike working for others.
