A friend of mine is getting married in April, and I decided to look for an outfit early because I don’t like buying things at the last minute. As I was going through the net trying to see what the designers have for us in the season of spring/summer 2012, I came upon a very beautiful cotton dress from the collection of Gucci which I remember first seeing in wedding pictures of Giuliana Rancic. Giuliana is a famous presenter in entertainment TV who wed the first man to have won the Apprentice reality show by Donald Trump. Giuliana’s sister who was one of her brides’ maids wore one particular dress which stood out from the rest; it was a long yellow cotton maxi dress with black and white flower prints, it looked gorgeous.The multicoloured trend was first seen on the spring of 2008 runways at Gucci and Elie Saab, and celebrities like Rihanna rocked the dress in real life immediately they became a sold out. Hilary swank was not left behind either; she was spotted wearing a very beautiful yellow, black and white dress recently from the Gucci collection. On the runway, these cheery shades were spotted throughout all the top designers and have now taken fashion scene by storm for the spring/summer 2012 collection. Yellow is one of that fun, careful and happy colours. You can never go wrong when you choose your yellow outfit. You can use it as an accent colour or you can use it as your main colour, you can even use it as a neutral if you do so wisely with other colours like black and white.Mixing bold colours like yellow, black and white is big time for this season. Designers are making a mad rush into showcasing their designs on the fashion runways. Last week on the New York fashion week there was a lot of pomp and colour, especially with most clothes coming in yellow, black and white.We are not just seeing the mix of bold yellow, black and white in clothes only. Shoes and handbags have also made their way into our hearts with the way the colours have been mixed cleverly.Philip Lim designed a statement yellow, black and white Gigi woven clutch bag. Carlos Santana came up with a very beautiful sandal strap heels in the same colours as well. Of course not forgetting hysteria hobo multicoloured handbag in the same colours of yellow, black and white by the one and only Gucci.The most exciting thing about mixing yellow, black and white is the fact that no one ever thought that these contrasting colours can one day make runway hit like they have done now. Colour is energy, if you’re wearing the colours that are right for you, you’ll look dynamic. Colour coordination not only makes you look good, but also gives you an organized and professional image. The way that Gucci came with mixing these three colours together was very ingenious of him.Without mincing words, I find the mix prints of yellow, black and white very enchanting! And I am going to rock my friend’s wedding in April in these colours! Don’t be afraid to mix and match these colours, you never know you might find yourself in the fashion page listed among the top fashionistas in our time!
