Know your Guma Guma contestants

About 20 artistes have declared their participation in the 2012 Primus Guma Guma Superstar competition. Ten finalists are expected to be announced on March 17, from the voting process that started on February 20 and runs until March 14. The competition will end on July 28. You can vote your favourite musician, by texting his/her unique number to 4343 from any mobile phone network.The contestant with the highest average score will book a place among the top 10 finalists. Fans can also vote online for their favourite contestant using Internet’s voting interface on www.primusgumagumasuperstar.com. The participating SMS vote must be from a mobile phone number activated by the participating mobile phone services providers at least three months prior to the start of the competition.In accordance with the rules of the competition, SMS votes and internet based votes will carry a weight of 80% and 20% respectively in determining the winner (s) of each phase. Each SMS will be charged Rwf65 only.Fans are allowed only one SMS vote per day, or one Internet based vote per day, but the validity of any vote is at the sole discretion of Bralirwa Ltd, the organiser of the competition.Bralirwa may suspend, withdraw, cancel or re-set the vote for any reason at its sole discretion and at any time. The SMS and Internet based voting remains subject to the laws of Rwanda and any disputes arising hereunder shall in the first instance be resolved in accordance with the provisions. From April to July, each contestant will receive Rwf1million, every month, to facilitate them during the competition.
