Editor, I wish to comment on a story that appeared in yesterday’s issue of The NewTimes titled “Trade Union to advocate for domestic workers”.Personally, apart from living in Rwanda for the last 17 years, I have also stayed in other countries in the region and I think the emergence of trade unions have helped employees a great deal. Many domestic workers have faced untold sufferings inflicted on them by their masters.These people are human beings too and must be treated fairly. Yes, like the CESTRAR, suggested, domestic workers should be given work contracts to avoid unfair dismissal.James MurekeziKibagabaga, Kigali
