CRICKET fans now have reason to be optimistic about the national team’s chances in the forthcoming Africa Division 3 tournament in South Africa following reports that the team has landed a new coach.Collin Siller, a former Scottish cricketer who has been in charge of teams in Australia, Fuji, Canada and New Zealand is expected to jet in this month. He will sign a short-term deal (three months) which will be renewed if the team wins the tournament.The national cricket team manager Eddie Balaba believes Siller’s coaching experience bodes well with Rwanda’s ambitions.“He has worked with countries that are at our level in terms of cricket which is an added advantage for us,” said Balaba.Eight countries will take part in the Division 3 tournament and they include: Rwanda, Gambia, Lesotho, Mali, Cameroon, Seychelles, Malawi and St. Helena.The winner will be promoted to Division 2 which also comes with increased funding from the International cricket council (ICC).Provisional squad:Eric Dusingizimana, Audifax Byiringiro, Andre Kayitera, Bob Bashir Songa, Derrick Bayingana, Don de Dieu Mugisha, Eric Hirwa Dusabemungu, Julius Mbaraga, Freddy Ndayisenga, Tito Gakire, Theo Gatera, Desire Manirambona, Eugene Haragirimana, Denis Mukama, Eric Ndangamyambi, Janvier Cyubahiro, Fiston Nsengiyumva, Joseph Tuyishimire, Sairam Gopalani, Evode Mutuyimana, Mihir Bhatt, Mihir Solanki
