Police’s Kopunovic wary of Isonga threat

The team has a wonderful coaching staff which has improved them tremendously.“But we need to concentrate on our strength, and I know that a win will take us to the top of the league,” the Serbi said yesterday before taking his players through the morning drills.Police is third in the league, three points behind table leaders APR but Kopunovic and his team will be desperate to go top for the first time this season.The Serb will also need a win to boost the club’s confidence as they prepare for the big game against the champions on Saturday at Amahoro stadium.Mukura, which take on Marines at Umuganda stadium on Saturday, is second with 23 points.This year’s league has been the most competitive in recent years with just six points separating the league leaders and sixth placed Etincelles. APR, Mukura, Police, Kiyovu, Rayon Sports are all involved in the race for league title.Meanwhile, the League will go into recess after this weekend till March as the national team starts preparations for their 2013 Nations’ Cup first leg qualifier against Nigeria.The match is due on February 2 at Amahoro stadium with the return leg to be played in June.
