Editor, The duty to protect Rwandan children must be the responsibility of everybody not just parents. We need to educate children on their rights so that they know what is right and wrong. It is commendable that the government has put in place mechanisms to ensure children’s development and protection but some countries in the region still need to do more. By denying children the opportunity to go to school, we shall be risking the region’s future. There is, therefore, need to redouble our efforts to promote the wellbeing of the African child.
