Dear editor, Being an institution that is highly respected, the Church has a lot to play as far as family planning is concerned. The church has to teach the population about the necessity of producing children, who go with the country’s capacity, land and other issues. There are some people who think that they are financially well, and sideline the call by the state to produce three children; they have to remember that the children of the rich will equally share amenities like schools with others. They too therefore prove to be straining the government capacity. The same children will also need to share hospitals, dispensary, water; electricity with the rest so the Church has to be influential as far as enforcing this is concerned. We should be conscious of all these. Nyamasheke
