Editor, Allow me to comment on an article published in The New Times of January, 13, under the title, “I am proud to be a male midwife”. The article made an interesting read. I am a man working as a Nurse/Midwife with my family, now in The Falkland Islands, but from the UK. I know exactly the sorts of problems/fears Andre Ndayambaje, a member of the Rwanda Association of Midwives has gone through as I have personally experienced much difficulty! Being a man in Midwifery is also very exciting and eventful too! I have done the job for 10 years now, and also met my wife at work! A great article that has made me smile many thousands of miles away from you! Carl Evans, UKcarl.cjevans@btopenworld.com
