MUSANZE - Police in Musanze district yesterday arrested a man for mocking a Genocide survivor. Jean-Baptiste Ntuyenabo was handed to the Police by a resident. His woos came after he sarcastically questioned why Busoviyo Cyuma, a genocide survivor was not mourning his dead relatives. Ntuyenabo, 51, is said not to have attended the Genocide memorial vigil because his parents were still alive. According to witnesses, Ntuyenabo made the attacking statements with intentions of hurting and traumatising Cyuma. He is being held at Muhoza police station. Silas Karekezi, the police Station Commander, said Ntuyenabo will be produced in court to answer charges related to promoting genocide ideology and ethnic divisions. Ntuyenabo, who repeated the statements while at police, pleaded guilty and asked for forgiveness. Ends
