Editor Allow me to react on the story that appeared in The New Times, issue of January 10 titled “MDG’s progress: Focus on the Health Sector”. I was impressed by the story of Esperance Musabyeyezu. It reflected how reforms have had a positive effect on people’s lives at the grassroots level. I am testimony of this change. After the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi, women would die while giving birth. Today, when I see Rwandan women approach the numerous well-equipped health centres and hospitals spread countrywide during their pregnancy, I nostalgically remember how far we have come.
