Editor, I read in The New Times last week that the country’s exports had increased by 31.7 percent, from US$564.5 million in 2010 to US$743.5 in the year 2011. This was good news but I want to think we can still earn more from mining, tea, coffee or tourism sectors which are not fully exploited. What we need to do is to improve the quality of the exports. Local industries need support to compete not only regionally but internationally. Rwanda Development Board’s tourism department has introduced more attractions, however, I believe there the country has a lot more to offer than what is marketed. Angelina MbabaziMusanze
