Editor, Rwanda’s special focus on persons living with disabilities (PLWDs) is, indeed, commendable. For instance, I have heard of new construction guidelines geared to ease access for PLWDs. Considering that disability is not inability, all Rwandans ought to extend a helping hand. Sometimes, we fear to go in public places because of stigma. We need to go to school and access all other opportunities and privileges like other citizens. However, I am happy to learn that inspection of all buildings under construction, is ongoing, to ensure they meet they include provisions for PLWDs. Rulisa KayirangaNyagatare
