Christmas is a time for family reunions

Back in the day, I used to wonder why a lot of travelling goes on during the Christmas season. The taxi parks are always filled with cars, luggage and many people travelling to their hometowns to celebrate with family. Often times, people travel to have a joint Christmas with family and relatives. Ever noticed how families get together during the Christmas season other than any other time of the year? It happens almost everywhere across the globe. There is nothing as sweet as seeing families get together and gather to spend more time with each other. It’s a beautiful feeling seeing children spending time with cousins, aunties or even grandparents. It’s one of those seasons in life that bonds families. Doreen Kamanzi, 23 years, says she feels so sad if she isn’t with her family and relatives for Christmas. Her family and relatives always travel to Mutara for Christmas—to celebrate with their grandparents. “It’s always great fun to spend time with family during such seasons. Most people are too busy with their daily routine schedules so such moments ought to be utilized with family,”Kamanzi said. Kamanzi says that she always feels so desolate whenever she is away from her family during Christmas. She says that family should always celebrate such memorable moments together to help them get closer and unite. If you are thinking of how to celebrate this season, remember to include your family in your preparations. Family is very important and should therefore celebrate with us all the special moments in life.
