Editor, Allow me through your esteemed newspaper to commend efforts by the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) to try Rwandan Genocide suspects. Last week, the ICTR made the final ruling on the referral of Jean Uwinkindi to Rwanda to stand trial after losing an appeal against the transfer. The move is a positive development. Genocide survivors have very touching stories to tell about Uwinkindi, who is widely regarded as a notorious murderer. This development should give confidence to other countries to extradite Genocide suspects living in their areas. Every country has a duty to cooperate with Rwanda . In the endeavour to bring to book the perpetrators of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, let us work together to end the culture of impunity in the world. Didas NshutiNyagatare
