Neighbour Diaries: Jealous!!

Jojo has a new boyfriend. I got to know about him just yesterday by accident. See, I had gone to work, but I didn’t feel like doing any work, so I went back home to get some stuff and head off to play sports. Jojo was home. I found Jojo home, and she is rarely home at that time, but that wasn’t reason for me to think something was up. When I found her home, I decided to sit around a bit, wait for whatever she was cooking to get ready, eat some of it and leave. She rarely cooks still, but when she does, it is magical. And for her to cook, she must be really happy about something. For the eight months I have been with her, she has cooked only six times. I didn’t ask what the cooking was all about; she and I haven’t been talking so much ever since she discovered there was Samantha. She never asked me anything else about Samantha, and I was hoping she had lost interest. So, as I sat there waiting, she came and started asking me why I was home at that time of the day. I told her I wasn’t feeling well, and she immediately suggested I go see a doc. She even recommended me one, and even offered me to use her car. Two suspicious things here; one, she never shares her car, not even with me her boyfriend. The only times I have driven it are when we are together and she is tired, or doesn’t feel like driving. The second suspicious thing was that feeling that she wanted me to get out of the house. To test my theory and see her reaction, I pretended to agree with her and made as if to get up and leave. Then, at the door, I changed my mind, and said I will instead take a nap. I saw her face turn from relief to something like anxiety. Now, why was Jojo anxious about and why did she so badly want me out of the house? The answer came soon after that. Someone knocked on the door. She went to get it. She talked for a while at the door, then finally, she came back in with a guy. Immediately, I could tell that he wasn’t just any guy. My sensors all got tingling and I realized that I was feeling jealous! I couldn’t believe it! Now, why on earth was I feeling jealous when I even “didn’t love her anymore?” But there I was, all acting strange and puffed up like a little boy. I nodded a “hi” to the guy, didn’t even bother to introduce myself or hear his name, went to the kitchen, got some food and without tasting it ate it from there. Meanwhile, Jojo must have been wondering how to handle the situation. To save her the bother, I called up Samantha. She told me she was still at work, and I went over. But the whole time, I was there wondering what Jojo was up to. It was the only time I had ever been with Samantha and I am not happy. She noticed it too and asked me if there was something up with me. There was, but how could I explain it to her? How could I tell her that I was “jealous about my girlfriend whom I don’t love but now that I saw her with another man, I wanted to kill that man”? Nope, that wasn’t the kind of answer you gave to a girl who had just given you her heart. The confusing thing was that I loved Samantha more than I had ever loved any other girl. But for Jojo, I guess I still loved her as well. Later that night, back home, Jojo was already sleeping. I thought she was faking being asleep to avoid talking about the whole thing, and I didn’t feel like it too. So, I went to bed. Then she received a text. I waited for her to reach for her phone, but she must have been sleeping. Stealthily, feeling ashamed of what I was doing, I got her phone and read the text. It was from someone she called “XXX”, and it said, “Babe, you rock my world.”
