Amavubi lines up two friendly matches
Sudan may be one of two friendly matches that Amavubi Stars may play as the team build up to the eagerly awaited 2013 African Nations’ qualifier against Nigeria scheduled for February 29, 2012 at Amahoro stadium. According Ferwafa president Celestin Ntagungira, Sudan verbally requested for a friendly against Amavubi and that the federation is waiting for an official application from the Africa Nations Cup-bound team before setting up a date.
After failing to hold their own against Ivory Coast in the last qualifying campaign, Amavubi will again be up for it against another West African giant Nigeria. The New Times / File.
