Editor, Whenever I speak to friends from other countries, I can’t help but notice that we, Rwandans have built a strong reputation of being resilient, courageous and hard working. These are great values that have become a source of pride to Rwandans and universally inspiring to most people. One day, someone whispered to me that “dress patterns and most recent trends” are an indication of cultural degradation. I couldn’t help but wonder what he was referring to, because as a culture, if we can’t adapt, adjust and evolve without of course losing some our traditional beliefs, then we definitely stand to be condemned to cultural extinction.
