After restricting Kenya to a paltry score of 41, Rwanda chased down the score in nine overs and for the loss of six wickets. The team then continued their splendid run in the afternoon with a comprehensive eight wicket win over Mozambique. Mozambique were bowled out for 32 runs before Veronica Iriho masterminded Rwanda’s chase with a patient knock of 18 runs to scoop the player of the match award. It was a good come back for Rwanda who lost their opening match against Botswana. Rwanda’s coach Andre Kayitera has now tipped the team to push Tanzania and Uganda all the way.
