Uganda, who are gunning for a record 12th title, edged Zimbabwe (1-0) courtesy of Khamis Kiza’s 14th minute strike while the hosts (Tanzania) had Nurdin Bakari to thank for launching onto a well executed set piece from Mrisho Ngasa on the 36th minute. Malawi tried to fight back but could not break the Kilimanjaro Stars’ defense manned by Juma Nyoso and Erasto Nyoni. With Rwanda and Sudan clashing in the 1st semi-final, the second semi-final pits the Uganda Cranes against Tanzania.
