Rwanda Investment and Export Promotion Agency (Riepa) is in talks with Jewish investors. The aim is to woo them expand their investments in key sectors in the country. Already the American-Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) partnering with the Rwandan community to promote the education sector looked at as crucial if the country is to develop, fast. Against that backdrop, Claire Akamanzi, deputy director general Reipa said: JDC has shown a lot of potential, therefore interesting them to invest in other key sectors could be good for the country. Government hosted JDC to a dinner where investment potentials in the country were discussed. JDC is constructing a Genocide orphan’s development centre, worth $16 million (Frw8.65 billion) in Rubona sector, Rwamagana in the Eastern Province. The Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village (ASYV), a boarding facility is expected to serve 500 Rwandan orphans.Ends
