I don’t know about other women, but when it comes to picturing a new outfit- I always start by thinking of the shoes. For some reason I have a difficulty of getting shoes my size, and so every time I get lucky and stumble upon shoes my size if I have enough money I buy between two to three pairs at a go. Thanks to the modern designers, the collection for next season has already started in earnest and everyone is in a hurry not to be left behind- in the fashion world.Thanks to the likes of Viviene Westwood, Jason Wu and Michael Kors; the shoe trend for the new season is out on the catwalk runways. Below are the must have shoes for the new season; Patent leather looks gorgeous for the new season; we have seen very bold colour combinations like red and black, black and white, blue and burgundy. I saw the colour blocking patent leather shoes from the collection of Mark Jacobs, and Viktor & Rolf and they were very striking. These are a pair of shoes that every woman should own. Satin shoes are shoes that every woman should have in their collection, mostly worn during special occasions like the wedding. Satin shoe is versatile and chic; it makes the wearer look sassy and classic. Christian Louboutin is the master of satin shoes; he features prominent satin designs every season. Reptile leather is going to be very trendy on the next season; only this time round designers like Balenciaga, Giorgio Armani, Chloe, Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Louis Vuiton and Valentino opted to work with the snake skin instead. Whether you have snake skin boots or peep toe heels, these are a must have in your shoe collection. Suede is usually the reverse side of the leather. What makes this material feature prominently in every other season is that fact that this material looks luxurious and is soft and full of texture. Shoes made of suede also look very trendy and fashionable. Diane Von Furstenberg loves to work with suede for most of her shoe collection and she usually offers classic shoes made from suede, and in different colours; watch out for suede in the coming season. Platforms and wedges; Wedge trend has been transferred to this season from the previous season. Both platform and wedges were the hot style over thirsty years ago and have come full circle in the fashion corridors. For next season we have seen colourful and unusual designs and are more modest and elegant. These shoes are a must have because they are an easy wear as they give the balance that a woman needs when she is tired of wearing high heeled pumps. Lace shoes are my favourite. I like the fact that they look delicate and very feminine. The wearer of these shoes usually looks very sexy and feminine. We have seen beautiful collections from Marc Jacob, Alexander McQueen and Rag& Bone. For that romantic dinner, lace shoes say it all.Plenty of buckles shoes have been seen from the collection of Michael Kors; this fashion has managed to eventually repeat itself this season. Some few seasons ago they were not really favoured, but now the designs are more sultry and feminine. Chunky heel is also another shoe that provides some comfort. This season we have seen lots of chunky heels in the fashion runways. This time round they are very classy and with lots of colours and designs. From pumps to boots- all these can be found with chunky heels. Last but not least are the socks in shoes. Unfortunately this design has not been favoured by most women because you have to wear them with socks, but when Rihanna appeared in public with a pair of socks in shoe, thereafter few bold women have been seen in that style- and will feature prominently for the next season. Shoes bring out the best in every person who is conscious about their dressing. In fact it is often said that we are judged by the shoes we wear, so be very careful when choosing your shoes, so that when you put your best foot forward- you get the right sophisticated look that is perfect with your style.
