Editor, The launch of the Congo Nile trail, as a unique tourism product, along the western Rwanda corridor, passing through as many as five districts is a boon to the country’s tourism sector. This type of tourism will certainly add value. During my last visit to Rwanda, I did traverse part of the Congo Nile trail, though still under construction then. My programme then included a visit to L’esperance Children’s Village in Kigarama. It was a wonderful experience to see the little children living there under the loving care of Victor Monroy, the director of the village. I commend RDB for making this unique village, L’esperance, a camping site as a part of the trail. This will mean that all tourists will have the opportunity to see how well the Government of Rwanda cares for these less fortunate children. Clarence Fernandesclavinmarketing@gmail.com
