RWANDA will not compete in this year’s Mwalimu Nyerere International volleyball tournament scheduled for December 4-9 in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. The volleyball federation, FRVB Executive Secretary Gertrude Kubwimana yesterday blamed the team’s absence on financial constraints. Rwanda’s withdrawal means that the number of participating nations is down to three; Burundi, Uganda and hosts Tanzania. Burundi and Uganda will field two sides while Tanzania is expected to field 16 teams. Ends
