Micho demands more focus

AMAVUBI coach Milutin Micho was unhappy with the way his team conceded a late goal in Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Eritrea, insisting they have to concentrate throughout every match. He was speaking during his postmatch interview. Amavubi were 3-0 ahead with just two minutes to play when they allowed the Red Sea Boys a consolation goal through Abraham Tedros, whose set-piece was too good for goalkeeper Jean Claude Ndoli in goal. “I was quite pleased with the performance, but I was not happy with the last four or five minutes,” said Micho. “I want players to be focused and to concentrate from the first minute to the last.” This result coupled with a 1-all draw in the first leg ensured Rwanda qualified to the group stage where they face an even sterner test against the likes of Algeria, Mali and Benin in Group H.
