Rwanda’s ruling party RPF-Inkotanyi, on Saturday, April 1, held a one-day international conference bringing together continental diplomats and scholars, among others, to discuss the African liberation journey. In his opening remarks, RPF Vice-Chairperson, Christophe Bazivamo, said that the conference brings about conversations on the meaning and practice of good politics and what it entails to drive progress and achieve success in Africa. “We need more tangible actions rather than words for sustainable socio-economic transformation and this is not only at national level, but also at continental level. Today’s conference is expected to help move in that direction,” Bazivamo said. Also present is the First Lady of Rwanda, Jeannette Kagame. Tito Mboweni, South Africa's former finance minister, Amb Ami Ramadhan Mpungwe, the chairperson Tanzania Chamber of Minerals and Energy, and a number of other personalities from the continent, addressed the conference.
