Ferwafa has banned Atraco Fc head coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira for four league matches for misconduct. The former APR coach is reported to have conducted himself in an inappropriate manner after his team’s league match against Police, which ended scoreless. Jules Kalisa, Ferwafa Chief Executive Officer told Times Sport yesterday that Ntagwabira has been banned following his verbal attack on match referee Martha Ntwali whom he accused of being biased against his team. Ntagwabira openly called him a cheat after he had denied the taxi-men a penalty in the dying minutes of the game. He even attacked him (referee0 in the dressing room and it required the police to intervene, Kalisa noted. Kalisa further added that that kind of behavior will never be tolerated in Rwandan football and should be a lesson to all other coaches and administrators as well as the players. The ban takes immediate effect, which means Ntagwabira will not be on the touchline for his club when the league returns to action next week. His assistant Emmanuel Ruremesha will be in charge for Atraco’s next four matches against Kibuye (on April 1), Marine (April 6), Etincelles (April 20) and the crucial tie against archrivals, APR on April 24. Currently, Atraco lies on the second position with 31 points, two points behind APR but with a game in hand against Rayon Sport. Ends
