Let us join hands and make child labour history

Editor,A recent report shows that the number of under-age children still employed in tea and rice farms in Nyamasheke District is on the rise, a practice that is both regrettable and reprehensible. I wish to commend area authorities in their attempts to eliminate the vice. Past statistics from the Ministry of Public Service and Labour showed a major drop in child labour but a lot more needs to be done to end the menace once and for all, in all corners of the country.
