UN family pledges more support

The United Nations Family in Rwanda grouped under “One UN” has pledged its continued support towards the country’s reconstruction process. Speaking to reporters yesterday during celebrations to mark UN Day, Aurelien A. Agbenonci, the Resident Coordinator said that the UN is committed to support Rwanda to achieve vision 2020 and the Millennium Development Goals. The UN Day, which falls on 24 October of every year, was established to highlight the goals and achievements of the organisation. The day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter.
