Dear Aunt Silvia, I am a single young lady. I have a stable job and lead a comfortable life. I have been in a relationship for three years now. As much as my boyfriend confesses his love for me when we are alone, he has never introduced me to any of his relatives or friends. Now this worries me a lot. We never go anywhere in public together or attend any public ceremony together, be it a wedding or any other event. I am worried that this man has not made a decision about me, what should I do? If three years down the road and the man is still avoiding to be seen with you in public, and has not even introduced you to his sister or his best friend, then know that officially his heart does not belong to you, pronto! Girl, time for you to get a life and move forward, stop wasting your precious time waiting for a person who has never thought of you as anything important, but treats you like a toy to be played with during his free time. This man does not carry your soul, to say that if you are not in relationship with him you will wither and die; neither do you depend on him to pay your bills. You are an educated and independent young woman, who should be able to call shots, just by clicking your fingers and not vice versa. Do not let his empty words cheat you even a little bit, just like Beyonce’s words; unless you put a ring on my middle finger, am still very single and ready to mingle. The choice is yours, you can choose to forever remain to be plan C of this man, or you can chose to boot him-rub your shoulder and walk tall to the sea to cast your nets once again-you never know this time round you might be there to catch the right fish and your best bet ever.
