Local artiste, Big Bang Bishanya, recently released his second album ‘Progress’ which he describes as the story of his journey and the progress he has made. Born Aristide Uwizeye Bishanya, the dancehall artiste started his music career in 2016, and released his first album ‘Elevation’ in 2021. “The album was inspired by the progress I’ve made since I started this music journey, because it all start as a dream,” Bishanya told The New Times on Thursday. “I feel lucky and blessed for the steps I’m making,” he added. The six-track album was released on March 18 on the artiste’s YouTube channel ‘BigBang Bishanya’ and is now available on iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, Boomplay, Apple Music and Amazon. Bishanya, 28, believes that anyone who listens to his new album will witness the uniqueness in his composition. “My fans will like this album because it has some true stories in it,” he said, adding, “They will also detect the distinctiveness in the music that I do.” The album is composed of six songs: ‘Success’, ‘Smoke and Hustle’ ft Win Loo, ‘Progress’ ft Bill Ruzima, ‘Loyalty’, ‘Kwasa Kwasa’ ft Win Loo and ‘Ibigwi’. The ‘Otsma’ hit-maker said his fans should expect more, and promised to release collabos with local superstars during the course of the year. “I have a lot in store for my fans after this album, I will start dropping collaborations with some of Rwanda’s big music names, as people have asked me to do so many times.” “I humbly ask all local music fans to check out and listen to my new album on all music streaming platforms, which will be of great support to me,” Bishanya further added.
