Serena Jameka Williams (born September 26, 1981) is an American professional a former World No. 1 tennis player.  The Women’s Tennis Association has ranked her World No. 1 on five separate occasions.She played her first professional event in 1995, at the age of 13.Serena has also famously played her sister Venus in the common rivalry, winning 13 of the 23 Grand Slam singles they have met (including the last 4 in a row).
